Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress who is best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Originally from Worthington Ohio, she left high school in order to relocate to Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first part as the title character in the web-based video show Rachel's Room in 2001. Following her win of an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal in Murder In Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to be awarded. Grace was Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace wanted to appear as a film actress, and had been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She has appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club both in 2007 and in Taken alongside Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) Replays of the roles. Grace reprised the role of Shannon in two more episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth season of Californication. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). In recognition of her role as a single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she got a nomination in the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. After that she was able to appear in comedy films along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) as well as Will Not Back Down (12). Some of her other roles are as an agent for the Secret Service in White House Down 2013, singing in Frank 2014 and as a singer the role of a teacher in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the title role. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as screenwriter and director in 2021. she directed and wrote her psychological horror film The Lost Daughter.
